ION AWARDED BOEING 2015 EXCELLENCE IN ADVOCACY AWARD

ION Corporation was recently awarded the Boeing 2015 Excellence in Advocacy Award for ION’s continuing commitment to The Boeing Company. ION received the award because of its support of Boeing’s efforts to ensure policymakers were aware of the residual effects legislation had on employees in the aerospace industry. This legislation impacts not only high-tech US jobs in engineering and manufacturing but also the ability to compete with foreign countries.  ION employees and leadership sent thousands of letters backing Boeing’s initiative and fully supported Boeing fly-ins and meetings with elected officials.

ION has been a long-time advocate for customer’s hard work in lobbying for job growth and US competitiveness and was recognized for those efforts at The Boeing Company’s Global Supplier Conference. Tom Jones, ION Corporation’s Vice President and General Manager, stated, “ION has always provided support in any way we can to our customer’s efforts to ensure the continued success of America’s aerospace industry.  ION is honored to accept this award and will continue to be a strong advocate for our industry, customers, employees and their families.”
